What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapists help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). For children this can involve learning how to crawl or walk, using their hands to play, eat, dress themselves, learning how to engage socially, manage their feelings and participate in every day life!
Where do Occupational Therapy sessions take place?
Sensationally Thriving Children Therapy believes that therapy should occur in the child’s natural environment. This could be your home, community, school or child care setting. Virtual treatment (using interactive video conferencing) is also available. Sensationally Thriving Children Therapy can see patients in-person in the greater Boston area (including but not limited to Wakefield, Stoneham, Wilmington, Reading, Burlington, Winchester, Melrose, Medford, Somerville and Cambridge) and virtually if you are residing in Massachusetts.

What is different about Sensationally Thriving Children Therapy?
Sensational Thriving Children Therapies focuses on supporting the whole family. Sessions take place in the child’s natural environment (home or community) to ensure more effective carry over of therapeutic activities. This also helps the parent/caregiver be more actively involved in the treatment plans.
